The Hybrid Take Over Exclusive with Videz Hybrid
GTP GANG: So we hear you've left Bliss Records and have moved to Grandpa Records, what took place?
VIDEZ HYBRID: I left Bliss in good faith due to growth and my ambitions to build Hybrid Music to greater heights...I have not moved to grandpa...I only offer my production skills not only to grandpa but several studios across the city...as Videz Hybrid my main concern is #HybridBeats
GTP GANG: What projects are you currently working on?
VIDEZ HYBRID: Am currently working on a number of singles and an album that I will be dropping latest in March 2018
GTP GANG: How has music changed your life?
VIDEZ HYBRID: Ooooh music has transformed my life both socially and my day to day life...in very many ways...it is now my profession therefore I value everything I do inside a studio...it has given me opportunity to travel and learn more about music in other places around east Africa and am looking forward to expand my fa base beyond African borders....it has enhanced my leadership skills as a team leader who must ensure that decisions made are of merit and for good of my fellow artists
GTP GANG: A lot of guys don't know what you do behind the scenes for these labels. Can you give us a clear perspective?
VIDEZ HYBRID: Ooh bro...its a whole different scenario back @the studio..no.1...as a producer with an artistic background..I have been setting the workflow for most of these labels in terms of content creation to delivery inside the booth.I must admit its not an easy task cause most of the C.E.Os don't actually understand the art that creates content and most of them have fixed minds that is almost unchangeble but somehow I always manage to put the right agenda on the table..
GTP GANG: Who would you like to work with in the industry?
VIDEZ HYBRID: A couple of artists but as my naturally attitude attributes..I like working unknown known but very talented young artists that can be modified into Hybrid....regardless I've worked with big artist like Gin ideal from Grandpa Records and Nasha Dee and Trap King Chrome from Get That Paper Gang.
GTP GANG: What are your thoughts on the current state of music in Nairobi?
VIDEZ HYBRID: we are moving swiftly into taking over African music as a whole...lots of challenges though but as an industry we are several steps ahead from where we were 10 yrs ago, the growth is tremendous!
GTP GANG: What can we expect to see from you in 2018?
VIDEZ HYBRID: a lot in God's grace....I will be dropping my debut album 2018 and unveil one the most talented team of young fresh artists under HYBRID BEATS Music Management..its gonna be a busy year.
GTP GANG: What don't we know about Videz Hybrid? Like how did you get your name?
VIDEZ HYBRID: Mmh Videz Hybrid apart from music, he is a father of a cute baby girl and a family man for that matter. The name Videz is a childhood name that eventually transformed to my official stage name. in fact am soon changing my id name to Videz Hybrid cause this is who I am now and its whom I want the world to remember me as.
